Breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice. Ps 55:17
Something that I had been doing very faithfully all my life, without forgetting, is my breakfast, lunch and dinner! David says that he did something thrice a day: cry out to God (Ps 55:17).
Having food regularly and frequently is important. Having physical exercise is also good (1 Tim 4:7). But following the above schedule helps only your physical body.
Remember to feed your inner man at least as many times as you feed your physical body. Your spirit can survive on tears (Ps 42:3)!
If you seriously love God feed your spirit and others' too (Jn 21:15-22).
The longer and the deeper you are connected with God, the stronger your spirit will be.
Prayer: Lord, help to cry out to you and feed on you as much as required. Amen
Amen

ReplyDeleteYes, prayer is more important than food. And, for me, it's really a novel thought.
