Lord of heaven's Armies
B. A. Manakala
O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, wake up and punish those hostile nations. Show no mercy to wicked traitors. Ps 59:5
One day, in my house, I saw an ant carrying something. Soon I realised there is another behind it carrying the same thing. Finally, I was surprised, when I found the source, where they were a vast army with thousands of them!
David, is addressing God as 'O Lord of heaven's Armies', not just 'O God'. Maybe, seeing God with a vast army allows David to see his enemy small. (Ps 59:5)
We often trust God for our little needs alone: education, health, provisions etc. God can do greater things, than what you can imagine. There is no one like Him! (Ps 86:8)
Just think about your last prayer and the theme of your prayer. What did you ask God for?
Do not underestimate God and overestimate our enemy!
Prayer: Lord, open my eyes to see the vast army you deploy for me. Amen
Amen!!
