Seek God first

B. A. Manakala

They have set an ambush for me. Fierce enemies are out there waiting, Lord, though I have not sinned or offended them. Ps 59:3

Imagine two people are waiting outside your room for you. One is waiting to give you a gift, while the other is waiting to harm you. Who would you like to respond to?

Note, David is talking to God here, before trying to deal with his enemies. Generally, if you are able to respond to God first, He will handle everything else well, including your enemies. But if your life pattern is the reverse, you would have a lot of struggles and disappointments. Let "seek-God-first" be your life goal (Mtt 6:33).

God is waiting for you; your enemy is also. Would you learn to trust God and respond to Him first?

When God and satan are waiting for you at the same time, learn to prioritise your response.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to respond to you often, rather than being bothered about my enemy. Amen
