High position

They plan to topple me from my high position. They delight in telling lies about me. They praise me to my face but curse me in their hearts. (Ps 62:4 nlt)

Once Billy Graham was asked to be the President of the United States of America. But he considered his position as an evangelist more important.

It sounds silly that Saul, the king, was afraid of David, an ordinary man (1 Sam 18:12). But David was aware of his high position (Ps 62:4).

You are seated in the heavenly realms (Eph. 2:6) and the rest of the world fears you! Do you realise that you have got the best position you can ever have?

The highest position a human being can ever have is to become an adopted child in God's family!

Prayer: Lord, help me to remind myself regularly of the position you have given me. Amen

    Amen. We are so fortunate to be adopted by Him... and the unforseen, amazing consequences of that fact are the promises of Eph 2:6 .. which is so wonderful that we need to be reminded occasionally!

Slippery sliding cliff!

B. A. Manakala Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction. (Ps 73:18 nlt) I was walking down a snowy slippery mountain with a heavy backpack. Suddenly I slipped and began to slide down. It was a thrilling experience for me. Though I was quite anxious in between, finally I landed in snow safely. Some of our experiences on sliding cliffs on earth may be thrilling for the moment. But not all of them would end in a safe place. When we are on slippery grounds God is faithful to provide us with a way out (1 Cor 10:13); but if we deliberately choose to miss the way out and continue on, the end may be destruction (Ps 73:18)! God would provide a way out only to those who desire for it; for those who want to carry on in their way of wickedness God would only let them move on in their slippery path, and slide over the cliff (Ps 73:18)! Who is truly wise?

B. A. Manakala God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. Ps 53:2 I get around many of my problems through Google-search. The more complex the issue is, the harder it is to solve. Sometimes, I end up making a mess, though Google handles about 20 petabytes of data. Man is created as a social being (Gen. 2:18). He needs to share, learn and trust, for his survival. Adam couldn ’ t survive without Eve. We need God as well as other people. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight (Is. 5:21). One who constantly seeks God is truly wise (Ps. 53:2)   Prayer: Lord, teach me to seek you all the days of my life. Amen
