God makes our land fertile
B. A. Manakala
You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so (Ps 65:9 nlt).
Generally farmers depend on rain for their agriculture. Sometimes they may not even know the One who sends the rain and controls the seasons.
Human beings are responsible to care for the land; but ultimately God takes care of them. Only God can decide the amount of rain for each year and season. Sometimes there is drought on earth; but the river of God has plenty of water (Ps 65:9). The abundant crops is His blessing (verse 10). When God created everything in the beginning He saw that everything was good. But we failed in taking care of the creation well. We often destroy the land by using fertilisers and artificial chemicals to gain more money in a short time. It, then, takes several years to restore the naturalness of the land.
God is continuously at work in restoring the whole creation; but we often destroy them.
Prayer: Lord, help me to care for the creation just as You do. Amen
Amen
