God's miracles

B. A. Manakala

He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. (Ps 66:6 nlt)

I picked up a hammer and began to beat on the floor slowly. Then I ran my left hand under it back and forth while continuing to beat. I increased the speed upto about three times per second. My children were amazed!

We are amazed at God’s miracles. But do you think God's power is revealed completely through such miracles? God could have made Israelites walk on the sea just as Jesus and Peter did. He could have flown them to the other shore as He did to Philip. He could have killed the Egyptians by a fire or by splitting the land open as He did to Korah and followers. Miracles just give us a glimpse of God’s power that helps us to believe in Him. Whether we believe it or not God can just do anything!

Would you dare to pray and desire for God’s extraordinary miracles that would bring glory to God?

Do not think God is just a miracle-worker; He is God.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be focused on you, and not the miracles. Amen
