Shaking heads in scorn
B. A. Manakala
Their own tongues will ruin them, and all who see them will shake their heads in scorn (Ps 64:8 nlt).
In my childhood when I went to school there was an ironworker on the way who used to frighten the children passing by. I used to run by the other side of the road whenever I reached the place.
Some people are not approachable for various reasons. When we see such people we would want to shake our heads and go away from them.
Jesus set the best example for us. People always drew closer to him. He blessed people, healed them, fed them and taught them. When God blessed Abraham he was blessed to be a blessing to all families on earth (Gen 12:2-3 nlt). Even today we are blessed to bless others.
How much are you able to be a blessing to others that they like to come to you?
If you have only very few friends, check whether you are able to be a blessing!
Prayer: Lord, help me to grow in every way more and more like Christ that I will always be a blessing to others. Amen
Amen
