Sheep and grain sing!
The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy! (Ps 65:13 nlt)
Rarely we leave children at home and go out for some emergent needs. They are quite sad when we do this. As we return we see their expressions of joy, jumping up and down and telling various stories. This helps us understand how much they love us and our presence.
All of God's creations are joyful, and they sing and worship their Creator, even the sheep and the grain (Ps 65:13). Everything was created for Him (Col 1:16), and therefore, they all respond to Him as intended. They were given no choice; but human beings were given the choice. From the garden of Eden we see man makes wrong choices very often, including the choice of not being joyful in His presence. We are to rejoice in the Lord always (Phil. 4:4). God enjoys when we rejoice.
How would you choose to rejoice even when things do not seem to go well in life?
Rejoicing is a choice; God desires all of His creation including man to rejoice always!
Prayer: Lord, let me be joyful at all times like the rest of your creations. Amen
