The godly rejoice

The godly will rejoice in the Lord and find shelter in him. And those who do what is right will praise him (Ps 64:10 nlt)

Many years ago, I remember meeting a godly man when he was going through very tough times in life. As soon as he saw me he gave me a brilliant smile that made me think, 'what makes him smile so well even in such a time'. Even today his smiley face comes to my mind!

In verse nine we see that 'everyone will be afraid' because of the situation. Yet, the godly will rejoice. 
Naturally no human being can rejoice when the situations in life are going from bad to worse. But there is something supernatural in the godly that they can still rejoice.

Are you able to rejoice even in the midst of the pandemic or the troubles in your life?

People can easily differentiate between artificial and natural smiles.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always smile at others because of your presence in me. Amen

Terror will grip them, terror like they have never known before. God will scatter the bones of your enemies. You will put them to shame, for God has rejected them. Ps 53:5 I bought a pet dog. Slippery sliding cliff!

B. A. Manakala Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction. (Ps 73:18 nlt) I was walking down a snowy slippery mountain with a heavy backpack. Suddenly I slipped and began to slide down. It was a thrilling experience for me. Though I was quite anxious in between, finally I landed in snow safely. Some of our experiences on sliding cliffs on earth may be thrilling for the moment. But not all of them would end in a safe place. When we are on slippery grounds God is faithful to provide us with a way out (1 Cor 10:13); but if we deliberately choose to miss the way out and continue on, the end may be destruction (Ps 73:18)! God would provide a way out only to those who desire for it; for those who want to carry on in their way of wickedness God would only let them move on in their slippery path, and slide over the cliff (Ps 73:18)! Who is truly wise?

B. A. Manakala God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. Ps 53:2 I get around many of my problems through Google-search. The more complex the issue is, the harder it is to solve. Sometimes, I end up making a mess, though Google handles about 20 petabytes of data. Man is created as a social being (Gen. 2:18). He needs to share, learn and trust, for his survival. Adam couldn ’ t survive without Eve. We need God as well as other people. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight (Is. 5:21). One who constantly seeks God is truly wise (Ps. 53:2)   Prayer: Lord, teach me to seek you all the days of my life. Amen
