God's procession
B. A. Manakala
Your procession has come into view, O God— the procession of my God and King as he goes into the sanctuary. (Ps 68:24 nlt)
Many years ago a man named Zacchaeus saw a procession. As he was a short man he had to climb a tree to see who was in the middle of the procession. Finally, when it reached under the tree Jesus who was at the centre of the procession looked up and said ‘Zacchaeus, come down; I must stay in your house today’.
Many different processions come into our view and we may have often been attracted to many such processions. God’s procession goes into His sanctuary (Ps. 68:24). Today we are his temple and His procession is heading to us.
Though God is in us, often we occupy the centre of the procession. And we may show ourselves and attract others to us rather than God who lives in us.
Do you direct others to God’s procession or to your own?
God may take a backseat if you are leading the procession yourself!
Prayer: Lord, let me always allow you to be the leader of the procession. Amen
Amen
