All nations blessed through him

May the king’s name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him and bring him praise. (Ps 72:17 nlt)

The Math teacher gave a problem to the class. All students worked hard for a long time to solve it. Finally, one genius among them solved it! The teacher sent every other student one by one to him, to learn how he solved it. Finally, everyone in the class solved it.

What a beautiful desire is it to desire all nations to be blessed through him (Ps 72:17). God made Abraham a blessing to all nations on earth (Gen 22:18). We are to bless even those who curse us (Lk 6:28). If we solve a problem ourselves it is easy to help everyone else around us to solve the same problem, or encourage them to go through the process. It is possible to be such a blessing only through the blessing we received from above.

Do we desire that all nations on earth would be blessed through you?

The best way to please God and others is by being a blessing.

Prayer: Lord, let all nations be blessed through me. Amen

Terror will grip them, terror like they have never known before. God will scatter the bones of your enemies. You will put them to shame, for God has rejected them. Ps 53:5 I bought a pet dog. Slippery sliding cliff!

B. A. Manakala Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction. (Ps 73:18 nlt) I was walking down a snowy slippery mountain with a heavy backpack. Suddenly I slipped and began to slide down. It was a thrilling experience for me. Though I was quite anxious in between, finally I landed in snow safely. Some of our experiences on sliding cliffs on earth may be thrilling for the moment. But not all of them would end in a safe place. When we are on slippery grounds God is faithful to provide us with a way out (1 Cor 10:13); but if we deliberately choose to miss the way out and continue on, the end may be destruction (Ps 73:18)! God would provide a way out only to those who desire for it; for those who want to carry on in their way of wickedness God would only let them move on in their slippery path, and slide over the cliff (Ps 73:18)! Who is truly wise?

B. A. Manakala God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. Ps 53:2 I get around many of my problems through Google-search. The more complex the issue is, the harder it is to solve. Sometimes, I end up making a mess, though Google handles about 20 petabytes of data. Man is created as a social being (Gen. 2:18). He needs to share, learn and trust, for his survival. Adam couldn ’ t survive without Eve. We need God as well as other people. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight (Is. 5:21). One who constantly seeks God is truly wise (Ps. 53:2)   Prayer: Lord, teach me to seek you all the days of my life. Amen
