Lurking Sins?

How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Ps 19:12.

Sins in a believer? Yes, even as a believer sins can hang around with us! David also speaks of sins lurking around in his heart. But what is important is how you deal with it. If we willfully continue and enjoy sins in our life there is something wrong, and we are heading in a wrong direction.

1 Jn 3:9 says, "those who have been born into God's family do not make a practice of sinning, because God's life is in them. So they can't keep on sinning, because they are children of God." A true believer would not intentionally keep on sinning; rather he repents and gets back on track with God quickly.

What are the lurking sins in my life that I need to run away from?

It is easier to run away from lurking sins than getting out of the guilt after falling in them.

Prayer:
Lord, please cleanse me from any lurking sins in my life. Fill me with more of your Spirit and Word that I may walk closely with you. Amen

Slippery sliding cliff!

B. A. Manakala Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction. (Ps 73:18 nlt) I was walking down a snowy slippery mountain with a heavy backpack. Suddenly I slipped and began to slide down. It was a thrilling experience for me. Though I was quite anxious in between, finally I landed in snow safely. Some of our experiences on sliding cliffs on earth may be thrilling for the moment. But not all of them would end in a safe place. When we are on slippery grounds God is faithful to provide us with a way out (1 Cor 10:13); but if we deliberately choose to miss the way out and continue on, the end may be destruction (Ps 73:18)! God would provide a way out only to those who desire for it; for those who want to carry on in their way of wickedness God would only let them move on in their slippery path, and slide over the cliff (Ps 73:18)! Who is truly wise?

B. A. Manakala God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. Ps 53:2 I get around many of my problems through Google-search. The more complex the issue is, the harder it is to solve. Sometimes, I end up making a mess, though Google handles about 20 petabytes of data. Man is created as a social being (Gen. 2:18). He needs to share, learn and trust, for his survival. Adam couldn ’ t survive without Eve. We need God as well as other people. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight (Is. 5:21). One who constantly seeks God is truly wise (Ps. 53:2)   Prayer: Lord, teach me to seek you all the days of my life. Amen
